Minister of Education, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, has replied Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso over his comment that President Goodluck Jonathan is the easiest person to defeat. Kwankwaso had during an event in Ilorin, Kwara State said Jonathan is easy to unseat in a free and fair contest. He said, “Jonathan is the easiest sitting president to be defeated in an election because of insecurity in the land, because the first and foremost responsibility of any government is security of the people”.
However, Shekarau, a former governor of Kano State and presidential candidate in 2011 general elections, who defected from APC to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said during election, every politician is entitled to his views and opinions, “which do not necessarily represent the reality. He is entitled to his opinion. If anybody in the political arena decides to express his opinion, he is entitled to it. There’s no problem with that”, he said.
