Anxiety over health of Goodluck Jonathan’s detained CSO

Goodluck-Jonathan-Photo-650x433-650x336There were fears yesterday that health of former President Goodluck Jonathan’s Chief Security Officer, Gordon Obuah has taken a down turn.

Obuah has been in custody of Department of State Security Services (DSS) since last Thursday and has been on hunger strike.

Obuah’s lawyers had raised the alarm over his health and that he had been denied access to his family and drugs. He was allegedly being held for illegal oil bunkering and other financial crimes.

When contacted last night, a security source said the former CSO’s health has deteriorated since he has stopped taking his drugs.

Last Thursday, the DSS had stormed the Abuja and Sokoto residences of Jonathan’s National Security Adviser (NSA) Colonel Sambo Dasuki to execute a search warrant.

The DSS, in a statement alleged that Dasuki was planning treasonable felony and listed a number of items recovered in his home to  include seven rifles, and five bullet proof vehicles among others. Another Jonathan’s aide said to have been picked for questioning by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is Moses Jitoboh, Chief Personal Security Officer to Jonathan.

Jitoboh, a serving Commissioner of Police, was alleged to have been arrested on Sunday.

Jitoboh served as ADC to Jonathan when the latter served as vice president and acting President. -The Sun
